Editable QR codes for business cards

Put a QR code on your card that keeps working when you change jobs, phone numbers, or portfolios.

The problem with vCard QR codes

Most card generators encode your contact details directly into the code. It works, but the pattern is dense (hard to scan on a small card) and frozen: new phone number, new company, new title all mean new cards.

Point the card at a link instead

Use a dynamic QR code whose destination is your LinkedIn, a personal page, a Calendly link, or a hosted vCard file. The code on the card stays valid through every change because you only edit the destination.

What to link to

Link to whichever page answers 'what do I do next after meeting this person'. For sales people that is usually a booking link; for freelancers a portfolio; for recruiters a LinkedIn profile.

Size and placement

A 1.5 cm (0.6 in) code is fine on a standard card if the destination is a short link. Put it on the back with a two-word prompt like 'Book a call'. The scan counter then tells you whether people actually use it, which is useful feedback on the card itself.
